Beginning as a Backyard Herbalist

This series of five workshops is created for those who have heard the call of the familiar strangers growing all around us. It is offered with the conviction that health begins at home, within our communities, and engaging in the work of “healing thyself” is every human’s birthright.
If you want to begin working with plants to support your health and well-being, this course is for you! You will leave empowered and confident in your ability to safely and effectively work with some of our most common and beloved herbal allies. We will dive into the basics of plant energetics, identification, ethical harvesting practices, creating herbal remedies with ingredients you can find in your cupboards (or at the local grocery store), as well as how to keep excellent notes to preserve and pass down your personal herbal traditions.
Each attendee will receive an extensive 50-plus page booklet filled with plant profiles, recipes and formulas, instructions and techniques, blank forms, and helpful charts.
